On February 22, more than 50 couples gathered at the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Braeton for the Celebration of Love Vow Renewal Ceremony, a heartwarming event that reaffirmed the beauty and sanctity of marriage. The ceremony served as the culmination of Christian Home and Family Week (February 16–22), highlighting the importance of faith and commitment in relationships. Hosted with grace by Master of Ceremonies Mical Forsythe and his wife, Jhoni-Lee, the evening was a touching reminder that love, when nurtured, only grows stronger with time.

The ceremony exuded elegance, blending reverence and romance. Wives, escorted by young men, entered the sanctuary gracefully, their husbands welcoming them with a single red rose—a symbol of love and devotion. The presence of flower girls and ring bearers added a charming, wedding-like ambiance, evoking the sweet memories of their original wedding day.

At the heart of the ceremony, Pastor Horace Wilson, Family Ministries Director of the Central Jamaica Conference (CJC), and his wife, Selia, led the couples in the renewal of vows. With Pastor Wilson guiding the husbands and Sister Selia leading the wives, the sacred exchange of promises became a deeply moving moment, reinforcing each couple’s commitment to their lifelong journey together.

Pastor Wilson’s message resonated deeply, emphasizing love’s resilience, faith’s role in marriage, and the dedication needed to keep relationships thriving. His inspiring words encouraged couples to continue building their unions on the foundation of Christ.

The celebration continued under the moonlit sky at the Multipurpose Complex, where an elegant reception awaited. Guests enjoyed a delicious vegetarian feast, featuring savory kebabs, vegan pizza, fish, and other delightful options. The evening’s sweetest moment came as the youngest couple, Prince and Nicola Russell, unveiled the ceremonial cake, which was cut by the couple with the longest marriage, Fitzroy and Gloria McKenzie, symbolizing love’s journey through generations.
