SPANISH TOWN, JAMAICA – Pastor Charvone Clarke has been awarded the prestigious title of Leading Pastor in Evangelism in the Jamaica Union Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, for 2024. This honour recognizes his excellence in evangelism for two consecutive years, 2023 and 2024.
The award was presented by Dr. Joseph Smith, Ministerial Secretary and Vice President of the Jamaica Union Conference (JAMU), during the Ministerial Professionals Association Inauguration Ceremony held on Thursday, February 13, 2025, at the Central Jamaica Conference Office, located at 58 Brunswick Avenue.
Pastor Clarke’s unwavering commitment to evangelism has earned him deep respect within the Seventh-day Adventist community. His leadership in ministry has not only strengthened his congregation but also reached individuals beyond church walls through dynamic outreach programs, mission initiatives, and innovative ministry approaches.

"Your journey in ministry has been truly inspiring. You have shown a relentless passion for evangelism, and your leadership refl ects the very heart of ministry. Through your dedication, you have not only preached the message of hope and salvation but have actively transformed lives and communities across Jamaica," Barrett stated.
In response to receiving the award, Pastor Clarke expressed deep gratitude, emphasizing that his ministry is a testament to God’s work through His people.
"This recognition is not just about me, but about the work of God through His people. I am humbled and honored to serve in His vineyard, and I will continue to dedicate my life to sharing the message of salvation," he said.
Beyond evangelism, Pastor Clarke is intentional about nurturing and empowering new believers through Total Member Involvement, community impact initiatives, and skills training programs aimed at fostering personal and spiritual growth.

"Evangelism is not just about baptizing individuals; it’s about discipling them, equipping them with the tools to grow in faith, and empowering them to contribute meaningfully to their communities. Through mentorship, skills training, and active engagement in ministry, we ensure that new believers are strengthened and supported on their spiritual journey," Clarke shared.
To date, Pastor Clarke has led over 548 souls to Christ during his four years as a district pastor. His infl uence extends beyond the pulpit, as he also serves as the President of the Ministerial Professional Association (MPA) of the Conference and contributes to his country as a Volunteer Chaplain with the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF).
