Adventist Church Mobilizes Relief Efforts in the Aftermath of Hurricane Melissa’s Devastation

Seventh-day Adventist leaders across Jamaica, Cuba, Haiti, and the Dominican Republic are working to locate members and assess damage after Hurricane Melissa tore through the islands from October 27–30, 2025. The storm toppled power lines, uprooted trees, flattened homes and buildings, flooded communities, and left at least 34 people dead. Church leaders confirmed that no deaths have been reported among Adventist members so far.

CJC Educators Repositioned for M.O.R.E. at First Teachers’ Prayer Session and Retreat

The Central Jamaica Conference (CJC), in collaboration with the Willowdene Group of Schools and Campbell’s Castle All Age School, hosted the inaugural Teachers’ Prayer and Retreat under the theme “Repositioned for M.O.R.E," from August 25-27, 2025. The event, which also celebrated the 60th anniversary of the Willowdene Group of Schools, was designed to inspire, empower, and spiritually rejuvenate educators while emphasizing the ministry inherent in their daily work.

Central Jamaica Conference Launches “Proclamations of Hope” Youth Empowerment Series This Weekend

Hundreds of young people across St. Catherine and other parishes within the conference are expected to gather this weekend as the Seventh-day Adventist Church, Central Jamaica Conference in collaboration with the Adventist Youth Federations of St. Catherine, launches its highly anticipated “Proclamations of Hope” Youth Empowerment Series (Y.E.S.).
