For Shawna Martin Nelson, a 36-year-old Jamaican woman, each step taken has been filled with pain and discomfort. For over 30 years, Martin Nelson has lived with Clubfoot, a congenital condition characterized by the twisting of the foot and ankle due to tight ligaments and tendons. As a result, she walks on the side of her foot, rather than the sole. This has been her reality since early childhood.
