The Central Jamaica Conference (CJC) of Seventh-day Adventists is set to host its 7th Quadrennial Session from July 6–7, 2026, under the theme "I Will Go: Living the Mission," at Camp Verley in Spring Gardens, St. Catherine.
The conference's more than 100,000 members will be represented by 518 delegates, making it the largest delegation in the history of the Central Jamaica Conference. The milestone reflects the sustained growth of the conference through evangelism, discipleship, and member retention.
This year's session carries added significance as the Central Jamaica Conference celebrates 65 years of ministry. Since its establishment in 1961 with just over 10,000 members, the conference has grown into one of the largest conferences within the Jamaica Union Conference.
"As we celebrate 65 years of God's faithfulness, we pause to reflect on a remarkable journey of growth, sacrifice,” said President Pastor Nevail Barrett. “ What began with just over 10,000 members has, by God's grace, grown into a conference of more than 100,000 believers committed to sharing the everlasting gospel."
“As we gather under the theme 'I Will Go: Living the Mission,' our resolve is to remain faithful to the mission Christ has entrusted to His church until He comes," he concluded.
The Quadrennial Session is the highest governing meeting of the conference and is convened to receive reports from administrators and departmental directors, elect officers and departmental directors for the next four-year term, consider constitutional amendments, and conduct other business essential to the continued growth and governance of the conference.
In addition to the local delegates, representatives from the Jamaica Union Conference, and administrators from sister conferences across Jamaica and local government are expected to attend.
Business sessions will be reserved for accredited delegates. However, the daily devotional services and coverage of the election of the new leadership team will be live-streamed on the Central Jamaica Conference's YouTube channel, @CentralJamaicaConference, allowing members across the conference and the diaspora to follow the proceedings.
In preparation for the session, the conference launched a 40 Days of Prayer initiative, calling members to seek God's wisdom and guidance for the discussions and decisions that will shape the future of the conference. Members are encouraged to continue lifting the proceedings of the two-day session in prayer as delegates gather to seek God's will for the next quadrennium.
