Mrs. Jasmine Lawrence-Brown has been appointed Vice Principal of the Willowdene Group of Schools.
The announcement was made by Pastor Nevail Barrett, Executive Secretary CJC and Billy Watson, Treasurer and Dr. Clifton Knight, Education, CJC to the staff on Monday September 23,2019.
Following their announcement Mrs. Brown was introduced to the student body at the school’s general devotion by Mr. Peter Williams,Principal of the Willowdene Group of Schools.
Principal Williams shared that he was satisfied with the boards decision and is looking forward to working with Mrs. Lawrence-Brown.
Mrs. Lawrence Brown previously served as Guidance Counsellor for the High school division for thirteen years.(2007-2019)
She holds a Diploma in Secondary Education with an emphasis in Guidance Counselling from the MICO College and was among the first batch of Guidance Counsellors to be trained in Jamaica.
Mrs. Lawrence- Brown also completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Sociology (Double Major) at the University of the West Indies (UWI).
Presently, Mrs. Lawrence Brown is a Masters candidate for Education and Leadership at Northern Caribbean University (NCU).
Her mission is to impact positively the education of each child, and influence them towards achieving their full potential.
Mrs. Lawrence Brown is the fourth Vice Principal to serve the Willowdene Group of Schools.
The school was established on January 11, 1965 and is owned and operated by the Seventh-day Adventist Church. It is located at 57 Brunswick Avenue, Spanish Town St. Catherine.
