CJC votes pastoral district assignments for the 2018-2022 Quadrennium

The Central Jamaica Conference Executive committee voted the full slate of pastoral district assignments for the 2018-2022 quadrennium. The vote took place during the Conference’s strategic planning retreat in Ocho Rios, St. Ann on Thursday, July 19, 2018.

These pastoral assignments will see 39 transfers, six pastors appointed as district pastor for the first time, the creation of one new pastoral district and a few district reconfigurations. The Chapleton, Toll Gate and Denbigh districts in Clarendon were reconfigured to create the Goshen district of Churches. Also, the Clifton church, previously part of the Tent City district will now be part of the Hellshire district in Portmore, St. Catherine. 

According to Conference President, Pastor Levi Johnson, it was a challenging process, but in the end, he said he believes the assignments are the right fit.

These new assignments will take effect August 1, 2018 as follows:
