Pastor Danvers was appointed to the post of Conference Secretary on January 1, 2017, upon the retirement of Pastor Ronnie Henry.

Initially, Pastor Danvers had indicated that he had no intentions of leaving the CJC, but after discussing the matter with his family and talking to God about the call to serve in the Cayman Islands, he felt that this was what the Lord wanted him to do.

Pastor Danvers was speaking during a farewell ceremony held in his honour at the Conference Office on Wednesday July 26, 2017.

In addressing the gathering, Pastor Levi Johnson, President of the CJC, said that Pastor Danvers “was very passionate, strong in evangelism and a bold preacher who loves what he does and holds nothing back.” He said that although the Pastor’s stint in Administration was very short, he had made significant contributions to the work of the Organisation.

Pastor Danvers started his ministry in the CJC as intern at the Braeton Seventh-day Adventist Church in 2002. He then served as District Pastor for the following Districts of Churches: Spalding (2003-2006), Linstead (2007-2008), Sydenham (2009-10) and May Pen (2011-14).

During the fifth quadrennial session of CJC held in 2014, Pastor Danvers was appointed to serve the Conference as Ministerial Secretary. He was subsequently appointed as Assistant to the President for Evangelism (2016) and as Conference Secretary (2017).

Though he was only formally employed in 2002, Pastor Danvers started his evangelistic work in the CJC in 2001 - the same year in which he graduated from the Northern Caribbean University with a Bachelor of Arts Degrees in Theology. Since then he has conducted a number of evangelistic series through which he has brought over 1,200 persons to the Lord in baptism.
