CJC President calls for prayer on behalf of those who suffer

Published: 10-01-2019 |

Within the first week of 2019, a few of our brothers and sisters in various places of the conference are facing challenges and difficulties.

We are requesting that all of us as a conference family humble ourselves before God and pray for His healing and unifying power in our lives and His church.

Please pray for those mourning the loss of loved ones. Our hearts go out to the families in Manchester (the Beverley and Maranatha Churches) who are grieving the tragic loss of three sons by drowning.

Besides Gayle and Anderson, the McClymounth (from Maranatha) family lost one of their sons through downing during the last quarter of 2018.

Please pray for the families who lost everything except their lives in recent fires in Clarendon (Palmetto and Croft’s Hill Churches) and Manchester (Royal Flat and Albion).

Again, we are reminded of the need to “walk with God”, realizing that Christ’s second advent is at hand.  As we enter the new year, let us renew our commitment to Total Member Involvement (TMI), Lord Transform Me (LTM) and Revival and Reformation through the power and the grace of Christ.

Let us join our brothers and sisters around the world, heeding to the call of Pastor Ted Wilson, President of Seventh-day Adventist Church to “lift up Christ, His Word, His righteousness, His sanctuary service, His saving power in the great controversy, His three angels’ messages, His health message, His last-day mission to the world including the need to plead for the latter rain of the Holy Spirit, and His soon second coming.”

Let us pray in our homes, pray in our churches, pray in our schools, pray at our business places to the Lord for help, courage and compassion.

May God bless and keep each of you as you stand firmly on His Word and look to Him for direction in 2019.

Please give your full support to Sister Ruth Walcott (Prayer Ministries Coordinator) and all Members of CJC Prayer Ministries—Conference Administrators and Directors.
