In the quote above, Ellen White gave counsel to the church, regarding the use of various media including technology to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ. Consequently, on Sabbath May 6, 2017, the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Braeton, launched the church’s mobile application. Celebrated conference-wide as Communication Day, it was deemed fit to dedicate this evangelistic tool to the Lord on that day as we sought to build bridges of hope.
The mobile app was launched after Sabbath School with an introduction from Church Pastor, Romone Phoenix who expressed gratitude to the team that had worked assiduously to make the venture possible.

Joel Hyman, Software Developer for the application and Denesha Weir, Communication Director unveiled and disclosed the purpose of the app. They showed various features including an audio section where sermons are streamed live, important announcements and the church’s programme for a given Sabbath. Other features include a special request for prayer and baptism and a resource section that includes links to other Adventist websites. They also shared that its primary purpose was to share the gospel with the online community. In addition, it will serve to concretise relationships with members in the diaspora and locally who may have moved away to other sections of the island.

Pastor Damian Chambers, Communication Director for the Central Jamaica Conference, offered the prayer of dedication, he also commended the church for building another bridge of hope in order to seek and save the lost.
