The Willowdene Group of Schools’ (WGS) staff, teachers and students have been plunged into mourning over the sudden passing of their vice principal, Mrs. Beverley Harris. Mrs. Harris died yesterday, July 8, 2018 at the University Hospital of the West Indies (U.H.W.I) after being admitted on Saturday evening.
Mrs. Beverly Harris, was a teacher of literature and at the time of her death, served as Vice Principal since 2016. She has served the Willowdene Group of schools for 22 years.
Mrs. Harris died leaving her husband, Pastor Darian Harris and their two adult children Abigail and Miguel.
The Administrators, Directorate and staff of the Central Jamaica Conference is deeply saddened by the passing of Mrs. Harris and express sincere condolences to the Harris family.
Willowdene Group of Schools is an Adventist-owned and operated educational institution with over 600 students from the Kindergarten to the High School level. It is governed by the Central Jamaica Conference of Seventh-day Adventists.
This sad news came on the day of the school’s 51st graduation exercise for the High School Division.
All students, staff and teachers of WGS have been invited to meet at the school’s auditorium on Monday, July 9, 2018 for briefing and grief counselling.
