Pastor Kevon Richards' Profile

Kevon Daniel Richards is known for making an impact wherever he goes. This young and vibrant servant of God hails from Lilliput, Montego Bay, St. James, Jamaica and currently holds membership at the Lilliput Seventh-day Adventist church in St James. He has served the church as Personal Ministries Secretary, Ordained Deacon, Youth Elder, and ordained Elder.

His community has also felt his presence, as he is the co-founder and former President of the ‘Young Rovers Football club’. While enrolled at his alma mater, Herbert Morrison Technical High, he was a Cadet, Prefect and Valedictorian for his respective graduating class.

In August 2015 he was enrolled in the School of Religion and Theology at Northern Caribbean University as he prepared to answer the call to Pastoral ministry. Being very much involved in school life, he has served Northern Caribbean University as a University chaplain, Prayer Director and later the President of the Ministerial Association of Northern Caribbean University, and the Vice-President of Spiritual Affairs for the United Student Movement- the student governing body of Northern Caribbean University.

In August 2019, he graduated from Northern Caribbean University with a BA. in Religion (Pastoral Concentration) with Magna Cum laud honours. He was also the Valedictorian for the first commencement of his Graduation Ceremony. Led by God, he has conducted many evangelistic campaigns including the “Fires of Hope Youth online series” with co-evangelist Donniel Linton which yielded over 65 precious souls and more recently the “Victory in Jesus Gospel Campaign,” which yielded 30 precious souls and started the Manningsfield Sabbath School in Manningsfield, Manchester.

It does not take long to realise that he enjoys praying, witnessing for Christ, preaching, singing, travelling and being jovial.

Pastor Kevon Richards has served as the Intern Pastor of the Royal Flat District of churches in Manchester, as well as the Tent City and St John’s District of churches in St Catherine, Jamaica. He then served as the Assistant Pastor of the Hellshire District of Churches in Portmore, St Catherine, and is currently the District Pastor for the Asia District in South Manchester. He lives by the philosophy, “I am a product of God’s grace. I will help others become the same by His grace.” This philosophy gave birth to his first book, “God Put Me Through,” in which he shares his life story of transforming grace as an inspiration to at-risk youth and others.

Pastor Richards is married to Ms Oshin Barton, a High School Business Teacher. Together they are committed to serving God and playing their part in preparing a people for the Second Coming of Jesus.
