At the last meeting of the Executive Committee of the Central Jamaica Conference held on Wednesday, May 10, 2023, new changes to the district arrangement were voted on and accepted. Six (6) pastors have been reassigned. These reassignments, which took effect on Thursday, June 1, 2023, are as follows:
Pastor Lenardo Turner who previously served the Central Village District of Churches assumes leadership of the Clear Park District of Churches comprising the Clear Park, Crescent, and Villmore churches.
Pastor Jamaine Williams who previously served the Glengoffe District of Churches assumes leadership of the Bartons District of Churches comprising the Bartons, Bois Content, Brown’s Hall, and Red Ground churches.
Pastor Melvin Parker who previously served the Bartons District of Churches assumes leadership of the Gregory Park District of Churches comprising the Gregory Park and Waterford churches.
Pastor Joseph Francis who previously served the Bellas Gate District of Churches assumes leadership of the Central Village District of Churches comprising the Central Village, Ebenezer, Twickenham, and Windsor Heights churches.
Pastor Lascelles Grant who previously served the Mile Gully District of Churches assumes leadership of the Newport District of Churches comprising the Newport, Blenheim Town, Rest Store, Port Mahoe, and Berry Hill churches.
Pastor Francis West who previously served the Newport District of Churches assumes leadership of the Portmore District of Churches comprising the Portmore and Portmore Deaf churches.
Additionally, three (3) pastors have been assigned their very first districts. These assignments which also took effect on June 1, 2023, are as follows:
Pastor Marvin Pryce has been assigned to the Glengoffe District of Churches comprising the Glengoffe, Aberdeen, Above Rocks, and Harker’s Hall churches. Pastor Pryce previously served as Intern Pastor in the Toll Gate District of Churches.
Pastor Nathaniel Golding has been assigned to the Bellas Gate District of Churches comprising the Bellas Gate, Blue Hole, Ginger Ridge, Gold Mine, and Simon churches. Pastor Golding previously served as Intern Pastor in the Old Harbour District of Churches and has served for a few years as Bible Instructor.
Pastor Daniel Melbourne has been assigned to the Mile Gully District of Churches comprising the Mile Gully, Coley Mountain, Harry Watch, Johns Hall, and Mayfield churches. Pastor Melbourne previously served as Intern Pastor in the Maranatha District of Churches.
The installation services for these pastors begin on Sabbath, June 10, 2023, and will conclude on Sabbath, June 24, 2023.
