Fourteen vibrant and talented youths from across the Central Jamaica Conference (CJC) stepped into leadership on Wednesday as they served as acting administrators and departmental directors for a day. The initiative, one of the major highlights of Youth Month 2025, transformed the Conference headquarters at 58 Brunswick Avenue into a hub of youthful innovation, spiritual commitment, and energetic leadership.

The day began with a powerful devotion led by the youth participants, setting a tone of purpose, reverence, and enthusiasm. Paired with CJC’s administrators and directors, the young leaders observed daily operations, participated in strategic planning, assisted with departmental tasks, and shared fresh perspectives on strengthening ministry impact across the territory.

CJC Youth Ministries Director Pastor Dwayne Scott praised the young leaders for their maturity and vision:

“Today reminded us that youth are not just the future—they are the present. Their insight, creativity, and spiritual passion show that God has already equipped them to lead with excellence. We are proud of each participant and excited for what this means for the mission of our church,” shared Scott.

The youths embraced the opportunity wholeheartedly. For many, the experience deepened their appreciation for the ministry and administrative work that supports the church’s mission. One participant, Ricardo Hall, shadow President, shared:

“Serving as president for the day helped me see how much planning and prayer go into every department. It made me more committed to serving my church and using my gifts for God. I left feeling inspired and empowered,” he said.

Throughout the day, the participants offered thoughtful recommendations on enhancing youth engagement, digital ministry, community outreach, and departmental collaboration. Their contributions were welcomed by Conference leadership.

Pastor Nevail Barrett, President, CJC, commended the young leaders and affirmed their role in the mission of the church:

“These young people demonstrated remarkable insight and leadership today. Their contributions are not only valuable—they are necessary as we advance the mission of the church. We are committed to creating more opportunities for youth to lead, because when they lead, the church grows stronger,” concluded Barrett.

The event concluded with expressions of gratitude and encouragement, as leaders highlighted the significance of mentorship and opportunities that nurture the next generation of church leadership.

It was an inspiring and transformative experience—one that demonstrated clearly that the future of the church is bright, promising, and already unfolding in the passionate service of its youth. CJC extends heartfelt thanks to all 14 participants for leading, serving, and shining throughout the day.
